new Photoshop CS3 training video hits the market


Allison authored a series of interactive Adobe Photoshop CS3 lessons with Firefly Learning, Inc. She devised the curriculum and produced the videos. She even made her debut in voice over recording. Dreaming in Photoshop, Allison shares her own photos throughout the training DVD. Warning: no creative anachronism is contained in this series.

Looks so Bad its Good


Parke worked his magic on this AARP spot for Action Figure.

Parke's Approach:
On this assignment we were asked to make a spot look like bad video from the 70's. This involved correcting footage shot on an old (broken) tube camera that produced an unwanted, gnarly magenta shift. This 'new' footage was being mixed with existing footage shot on film in the 70's. We started with fixing the magenta footage and then washing out, bringing up the contrast, and adding a red tint to the existing footage to make it look like video. The result was finding a middle ground... allowing all the parts to work together in a good way... to make it look bad.
